When replacing your laptop battery, you should always choose a battery with the same voltage as your original. There are however a couple of exceptions to this rule;

1. 7.2V battery and 7.4V battery are interchangeable, they are in common use.

2. 10.8V battery and 11.1V battery are interchangeable, they are in common use.

3. 14.4V battery and 14.8V battery are interchangeable, they are in common use.

4. 10.8V(=11.1V) battery and 14.4V(14.8V) battery are not interchangeable, they are not compatible.
